Eyelashes Extensions information:
How is it done?  Each strand is carefully selected and tailored to fit your own lash before application.  The length, the thickness, the degree of curl is selected depending on your own lash and your preference look: Natural or Dramatic .  It
will lasts until the end of your lash cycle.  The natural lash is isolated from the rest and bonded to the extension.

Is it single-layered or multi-layered?  "Single layered or Multiple layers or traditional way or patented way" are
terms that came up for marketing purposes.  It is very simple: For us, when there's a natural lash, we extend it.  What
is there to patent (like some "pros" claimed)?  The basic technique is to attach the lash to the natural lash, one on one.
Accomplishing excellence requires mastering the techniques, the experience, the products used and the desire to
achieve that beauty look for the client.  Our policy is to do it fully for the client: when a natural is mature and strong
enough to be able to hold the extension, it is extended.  When it's done, there's hardly any "layer" left undone.

Should I get "natural" or "dramatic"?  Your natural lash look is already "natural".  You want your look to be
enhanced.  If it's done too natural, it will not be too noticeable.  You might like it to be done thicker and longer: for first-
timers we generally recommend a "dramatic" look.  They are not permanent, in 4 weeks, you can always change to a
look you prefer.

How long do they really last?  When applied properly, they last from 4 to 6 weeks.  Some clients drop by at the end
of the 2nd week for some touch-up (refill) for best look.   If lots had fall off during the first week, the touch-up/refill is
free of charge.

Why is there a difference in the time required from different salons?  The regular range of time required is
from 60 minutes to 90 minutes.  For customers who have very fine lashes we need a bit more time to complete.  The
proficiency level is also an element to consider: if a process takes too long or too quick, it must be neglect or not this
type of service.  We are not counting the number of lashes to use: the overall look is much more important.  It is our
policy to apply "full" look.  "Natural" is too natural....

Maintenance guides  No mascara on your lashes. No oil-based products on your lashes as they'll weaken the bond.
No curling.  Only a special conditioner can be applied (check with your esthetician).  Wetting your lashes do not make
them fall off but they may dry in different directions: don't pull on them but re-arrange them accordingly and let them
dry.

What are the differences of service when done by Amy vs her assistants?
Because of her extensive experience, Amy's time is well sought after by customers who had experienced her services .
Amy has been working on Eyelash Ext. over 7 years now.  Throughout this period, Amy put in lots of time to try out
different techniques and products.  However, her senior staff does have strong experience in Nails and Eyelash
Extensions applications: each does many sets a day.  When Amy works on her client, it's not just a job, it's her passion
to make her client beautiful.  We encourage you to try different techs: with eyelash ext., the look is important, so is the
comfort in wearing them.
Eyelash extension is precision work; the more precise the work is, the longer they last and
the more comfortable to wear.  Amy's work is very precised.
We invite you to try Amy's nails work also and compare
with any other nails work: you will notice the difference.

Is there any risk of infection?
The procedure is to attach a strand of synthetic lash to a natural lash.  Nothing involves broken skin. The attached
section of the strand is not even supposed to touch the skin .  The tools (scissors, tweezers) are sanitized for every
client. We follow strict procedures of hand washing between clients.  We recommend the client to wash hands and using
hand sanitizer.

Is there some sort of warranty?
Of course there are guidelines that can be used to know whether it is done right or not:  For Eyelash Extensions
and nails, they should be fine for at least the first 7 days.  If something is not right you would notice lots of
lashes fallen off; nails would be lifting  within this time frame.  Do call us to get the earliest appointment possible so it
will be fixed at no charge.  These are only guidelines and we do appreciate the feedback from customers .
You could also email us at amy@spalesplanade.com and time will be arranged for Amy to personally inspect
and fix any defect for you.
